Swansea by car

From Birmingham

Take the M5 Westbound, joining the M50 at Junction 8. Take the A40, then A449 to the M4, leaving at Junction 42 for Swansea.

From London

Take the M4 Westbound, leaving at for Swansea at Junction 42.

From Glasgow

Follow the M6 South taking Junction 8 to the M50. Take the A40, then A449 to the M4, leaving at Junction 42 for Swansea.

From Exeter

Take the M5 North, joining the M49 at Junction 18A, and then the M4. Leave the M4 at Junction 42 for Swansea.

From Fishguard

Take the A40, joining the A48 at Carmarthen. Join the M4, taking Junction 47 for Swansea.

From Swansea (For directions to Swansea see www.swansea.info/transport)

From Swansea city centre, follow signs to Mumbles/Gower, continuing on Oystermouth Road, and you will drive past a sign welcoming you to ‘The Mumbles'. Follow the road along, taking road ahead at the upcoming mini-roundabout. A right turn at the next mini-roundabout will take you on to the Newton Road shopping street, or straight ahead will take you into Mumbles village, and then on to Southend Park, Verdi’s and the Pier. For any of these locations it is advisable to park in one of the several pay and display car parks situated to the left of Mumbles Road.
